Sensei's Library On Tour (SLoT) is a little Java tool that converts a wiki dump into a set of HTML pages that can be easily converted for reading on a handheld computer or ebook reader. The tool was originally written by Hans Wiezorke but is currently being maintained by Ross Werner.
Download Sensei's Library On Tour from a Sourceforge mirror.
No installation is needed, just put the uncompressed wiki-dump.sql file in the same folder as Slot-0.8.jar. You can then run Slot by typing: java -jar Slot-0.8.jar on the command-line, or just by double-clicking Slot-0.8.jar. Then sit back and watch the "html" folder fill up with beautiful Sensei's Library pages.
Most likely! I’m looking for feedback on this project and I want to know what features will be most helpful to other people. So if one of the above-listed "future features" is something you really want, or you have something in mind that’s not even on the list, drop me a line!
The easiest way is by email: rosswerner [at] users [dot] sourceforge [dot] net. Alternatively, the Sensei's Library On Tour project page has several forums available for people to use:
It is! Sensei's Library On Tour is licensed under the GPLv2. The JAR file that you download contains all the source files required to compile Sensei's Library On Tour. Simply unzip it with WinZip or any other utility that handles zip files (you may have to change the file extension to ".zip").
Alternatively, you can get the code out of CVS. Instructions on how to do this can be found here: http://sourceforge.net/cvs/?group_id=195439.
